Love is beautiful and if rooted in Christ it is more beautiful. Here is the story of Christine and her best friend turned husband, Joel. They have both been serving Christ together for years, but they realized that they were meant to be husband and wife rather than just friends and confidants.
In a tweet by Christine, she revealed their story. It is filled with the testimony of waiting on God's timing despite living in an era of immediate pleasure. They delayed gratification by making move based on God's instructions rather than their own instincts because they know that God's plan and timing were perfect and the best for them.
Like every human endeavors, their journey to finding that they are God's plan for each other was challenging as they have both experienced disappointments and pains in their previous relationships, but they were able to heal by focusing on their individual relationships with God and to allow Him to guide them to each other.
The decision to become together as husband and wife is as a result of the approval by the Holy Spirit which prophetically confirmed that they were meant to be together.
"Joel has been single for ten years, and myself seven, no dates, while we were allowing God to work to mend all of our broken places until the night the Holy Spirit spoke to both Joel and me prophetically and told each of us to give the other our hearts and hand in marriage, Christine mentioned in the tweet.
Not long in the presence of God and their families they seal the beautiful union as their love story is deeply rooted in their love for God, and that made all the difference.
Christine says Proverbs 18:22 "confirms that a good godly man finds a godly wife, and it’s a blessing worth waiting for. Patience is a virtue." This shows that Joel found a godly wife in Christine as they both waited upon God, which has a greater reward and is worth celebrating.
This is a reminder that allowing God to lead us in our daily endeavors can lead us to having testament such as that of Joel and Christine. To those finding love, be rest assured that Joel and Christine's love story is a reminder that when we allow God to lead us, we are assured that He will lead us to the right person at the right time because we can trust that His plans for us are good, and His timing is perfect. Settling for less than God's best for us should never be an option.
