Flipping through the pages of the Bible, one will get to know and also believe with me that God's word is full of promises, God being a father is also happy with the children, thereby giving them good promises for living according to his word.
The Bible being the primary source of Christian's truth is where those promises are embedded.
The purpose of this article is to educate Christians about the great promises of God to those who are in him.
He has never promised and failed, that means he will never fail in whatever he says he will do for us.
Those Promises are:
1. Peace and Healing
Could you recall the woman with the issue of blood in the bible? She had suffered the ailment for years, and no one was there to help her. When she heard that Jesus was coming, she moved a step of faith, and believed that if she holds his garment, she'll be healed, when she did, God told her to go in Peace, as her faith has made her whole. Mark 5v34-35.
We all need the peace us God in our life in order to live a fulfilled life. Peace is one of the promises of the father, just come to him, believe and have faith. You'll be made whole.
2. Long Life
Psalms 91v16 says "With Long life I will satisfy him. This is an interesting part of God's promise to humanity, everyone desires to live long. Often time, people go to wrong places to obtain power for long life, this is bad as all power belongs to God.
Do you desire to live long on earth? The best place to get long life is from God, he is the giver and the only source of abundant life.
3. Financial Abundance
Have you stumbled on a portion of the Bible that says that God will supply our needs, according to his riches in glory? Philippines 4v19.
This shows that God, being a wealthy God has made an everlasting promise to man concerning his finance and thing that makes life comfortable for man.
Powers to amass wealth comes from God, he's the giver of whatsoever man wants on earth.
4. Deliverance from Demons and Sins
Psalms 50v15 says "Call upon me in times of trouble, and I will deliver you". Oftentimes, when believers face one or two troubles in life, they get troubled and tend to derail from the ways of God. The irony of this is that God is even the absolute deliverer of which all powers in heaven and on earth belongs to him.
No matter what you're facing in life, believe that God, the owner of your life will one day come through for you.
5. Deliverance from Arrow of Fear
1Timothy 1v7 says "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind".NKJV
This is a promise of God the father. Fear is one of the greatest reasons supposed believers doubt God, it is the reason a lot of believers perish. With God on our side, overcoming fear is sure.
6. Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding
These three keys are vital to human life and development, man cannot be developed without the achievement of these. That was why the wisest king Solomon never demanded for wealth, he demanded from wisdom from the father, and he (God) was very happy with him.
Just as he gave to Solomon, if a believe believes God for these things, he will give it to him.
7. God's Grace
1 Corinthians 16v23 says the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ will be with us, this shoes that since he promised, the grace has never left us.
With his grace, you can do anything, you can amount to anything in life.
Always pray for grace, since he had promised, it'll be easy for you to access it.
8. Promise of the Holy Spirit
This is the greatest of all the promises, this one seen as a comforter among men.
