Georgia Pastor killed and burned by 27 year old man she was helping

A pastor in the state of Georgia, has been found dead after police investigators reveal she was stab to death by a young man she was helping to become a better person.

The pastor who is a senior pastor at the Metropolitan Church was recognized as Reverend Marita Harrell when her body was found inside a van on Coffee Road in DeKalb County.

Police investigation found out that Harrell had mentored and counselled her suspected killer, a 27 year old, named Christopher Griggs.

Griggs had stabbed Harrell (57), with a large kitchen knife before setting her on fire in his home and has abandoned her lifeless body in a van. He has been charged with arson and murder.

According to Connections @ Metropolitan, Marita is the daughter of Howard and Margie Roberts who live in McDonough, Georgia. She has been married to Antonio Harrell for over 27 years, and is the proud mother of two daughters, Marae, age 18 and Alyse, age15.

She was a 22 year veteran of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution newspaper before accepting her call to serve in God's vineyard.
