Highly inspirational gospel musician, Sola Allyson has revealed what her boss thought of her when she resigned as a Confidential Secretary to go study music.

She mentioned this in one of her tributes in honour of the late Christian composer, Dr Oluwole Adetiran who died on Sunday. Allyson said that her former boss thought she was crazy for attempting to study music rather than other lucrative courses.

"I resigned from my job as a Confidential Secretary which I was very good and doing well at and put in to study Music, at your word. My Boss thought I was crazy, not for wanting to go back to school, but for wanting to go and study music. Music kẹ̀, of all things in this life? See me today! I have no single regret taking that step!"

While eulogizing Adetiran, the composer of the Nigerian National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) anthem, Allyson noted that he believed in her from the very first day he heard her singing when she attended the rehearsal of the Central Choir of Celestial Church in 1997 for the first time.

"You heard me sing for the audition and you heard my light-shining destiny in that voice, full! You couldn't ignore and asked, 'ọmọ wo ló kọrin ńbẹ̀yẹn ńsìín? Striker l'ọmọ̀ yẹn"! (who is that child singing now? That child is a striker!)

"I met you on the night of January 17, 1997, at CCC Central Choir's rehearsal at Obanikoro, a place where I came with a thirsty soul, just a few months in Cele having come from Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S), just because I wanted to be better at using my voice to serve GOD."

The artiste further revealed that the former music lecturer at The Polytechnic, Ibadan was instrumental in her getting healed from her inner wounds.

"I began doing the "love trade" and I looked out for this in those I met. That's what I wanted. Better. And I gave it. I believed I would get it and worked towards it... Futile. I was disdained for it. Resented. Beaten. Abused.

"Bàbá Adetiran was one of the very few major people who accepted me and called me good. And even as my gift was the attraction, I was called good by someone I respected and it went a long way in dressing up my inner wounds!"
