The life of a former Muslim who was suicidal was changed for good after a vision in which she met Christ Jesus during the challenging period of her life.

Nikta the name of the new convert, shared her story in a video interview with The Christian Post. She mentioned that she put up to smoking and drinking at a tender age, while she was also suicidal in her college days.

Her family originally originated from Tehran, Iran but they moved to the United States when Nikta and her other sibling were young.

Nikta mentioned that the care, she and her sister needed from their parents was absent as their parents worked hard, but argued a lot, but with the negative infulence of her elder sister, she tried a cigarette at the age of 7, then in her eighth grade, she drank alcohol.

At the time she was a teenager, she had a traumatic experience as she drank alcohol as a result of the pressure from her sister's friends.

This trend continued till her college years when she became suicidal as a result of massive social pressure, which resulted in her finding it difficult to obtain a college degree in California. Nikta revealed that this made her mum recommend that she and her sister should travel to their home country (Iran), as a way of reconnecting with their relatives, which would make her feel better.

Never Knew The Trip To Iran Was God's Trip

While she first refused the initial idea of going back to her native home, she gave it a thought and in one of the nights in Tehran, while lying in her aunt's bedroom, she had a vision. Nikta saw Jesus Christ.

She described him as having long dark hair and a blue robe, standing inside an old wooden church with stained glass windows, telling her to follow him inaudibly.

After the vision, she said she proceeded to search for the picture Jesus on Google and she was amazed that the image she found was the same as what she had seen in her vision.

On returning to America, she informed her Christian male friend who offered to take her to church, where she learned more about Jesus. Nikta said her family were not initially in support of her leaving Islam for Christianity.

She is now baptised and plays a supporting role in the church, as she says she prays more and God does speak to her and fill her thoughts through the spirit. Nikta is married to her male Christian friend and has restored her relationship with her family, as her parents have become less resistant to Christianity, as they sometimes attend church with her.
