The largest white garment church, Celestial Church of Christ has condemned the abuse of its garment, popularly known as the Sutana by skit makers and actors in the Nollywood industry.
A statement by the church seen by our reporter says it is totally unacceptable for anyone to abuse the Sutana.
"In skit and movie productions, the Sutana is abused. In musical videos the Sutana is desecrated. Loins are worn around the neck, rather than on the waist in TikTok productions that litter the social media. Playing and dancing to secure music like R&B and Hip Hop while fully decked in Sutana is totally unacceptable."
The lead team of the Don't Abuse The Sutana campaign, Cape Elder Brother Tomisin Olawale says the campaign will be taken to every part of Nigeria and diaspora.

"Our projection is to reach out to the 6 geopolitical zones of the country and also to the diaspora in order to achieve our goals," Olawale was quoted as saying in the statement.
The statement signed by Superior Evangelist Kayode Ajala also mentioned that different segments of the Church are in support of the campaign.
