Fr Kelvin Ugwu's message on prophecy
Fr Kelvin Ugwu

He is a mighty prophet of God... Bla, bla, bla! I will keep saying this.

That someone told you exactly what will happen tomorrow does not make the person a prophet of God.

We are spirit beings, there are spiritual gifts in most of us. There are those that can look at your face and know what you are thinking. It does not make them prophets of God.

My mother in Nigeria can feel when I am sick here in Malawi or when something is wrong even without me telling her anything... she will just know. What do you call that?

There is something called premonition. Go and read up more about it. . . The truth is, most of us will never be aware of the spiritual gifts in us because we have failed to be in touch with our inner selves.

As I said before, a prophet of God is someone who communicates a message on behalf of God. The greatest message is the message of salvation. The climax was the coming of Christ as prophesied by John the Baptist.

No prophecy, none at all is bigger than the message of salvation.

Stop reducing God to the level of politicians. A lot of what you call prophecies are just predictions. If they come true, the praise often goes to the so-called prophet and not to God.
