Christians and Muslims must see themselves as one, Celestial Church leader tells Nigerians

The need for oneness between the followers of the two largest religions in Nigeria is necessary for religious tolerance, forgiveness and a commitment to making Nigeria better, says one of the leaders of the Celestial Church of Christ, Reverend Emmanuel Mobiyina Friday Oshoffa.

In a statement by the church felicitating with faithfuls of the Islamic faith on the Eid-El-Kabir celebration, Oshoffa emphasized that "Nigerians must live in peace with one another in order to foster a more united, stronger and more formidable country."

While condemning the current state of insecurity bedeviling the country, the statement called for divine intervention by acknowledging that "all Christians and Muslims alike to see themselves as one and jointly pray for peace in our country, Nigeria.

Regarding the forthcoming 2023 general elections in the country, he prayed for a peaceful, free and fair election.
