Pastor Nathaniel Bassey and Apostle Johnson Suleiman
Apostle Johnson Suleiman and Pastor Nathaniel Bassey

In a case of exceptional display of respect for what he believes in, gospel minister, Pastor Nathaniel Bassey unknowingly passed the money test he was tried with.

In a Facebook post by Eternity Waves, which credited Ndepotv reporting that Apostle Johnson Suleiman attempted to woo Pastor Nathaniel to the Holy Ghost Convention of his Church and telling him, "Do you know what I'll give you," when the gospel minister declined attending the convention.

Apostle Suleiman was quoted as saying: "One time, I met a popular gospel artist - Nathaniel Bassey on the plane. We got talking and he said he'd love to come to our church to minister. I told him about our program, Holy Ghost Convention, in June.

"He said no, that his father in the Lord, Pastor E.A. Adeboye will be having a program and that he'll be following him for one month. I asked him if he was a guest artiste at the program, he said no, that he's just following him, in case he wants him to sing.

"I asked him, 'Do you know what I'll give you?' I was tempting him to study him. He told me, 'Sir, it's not important. My covering is more than envelop.'"
