Some Christians declare that God has called them to preach the gospel through the use of dance. However, this belief has been met with criticism from some members of the Christian community such as Isaac Oforah.

While these individuals feel that their ministry involves spreading the word of God through dance performances, as they believe that dancing can be a powerful tool to convey the message of salvation and lead others to Christ, Oforah disagrees and strongly opposes this notion. He argues that the gospel can only be preached through words, not through dance or any other forms of entertainment.

In a recent article, Isaac Oforah claimed that dance is not a ministry in Christianity. He maintains that artistic expression such as dancing and comedy cannot be used as a means of preaching the gospel.

"God NEVER called you to be a dancer! Nobody had such a ministry in the world!" Oforah wrote. "We have no such template in the scriptures! The earlier you understand this, the better for you! You're just an entertainer NOT a minister!"

He opines that the gospel is not meant to be preached with dance steps, rather it should be with words. "How do you explain the indwelling of the spirit with dance steps? How do you explain the forgiveness of sins with dance steps?" Oforah asks.

He also cites the examples of the apostles, as they did not take over cities with comedy and dance steps, but with the preaching of the word and the power of the Holy Ghost.

"Stop using dance and comedy to mask your laziness! Dear believer, better get serious with your life!" You're simply lazy! (sorry o, but that's the truth)! Get to work!" said Isaac Oforah.

Within the Christian circles, there is a debate between those who agree with his views while others disagree. Some accuse Oforah of being too rigid with his interpretation of the scriptures, while others applaud him for being vocal.

He argues that those in support of using dance for evangelism say that dance can be a powerful tool, as they believe that dancing can touch people's hearts and lead them to Christ. They think that they will continue to use this gift to spread the love of God.
