How to deal with rejection, how to fight rejection, types of rejection
Someone who has been rejected

Reading this means, you are here to find solutions to that problem of rejection, you have been going through. My dear friend, the beauty of life is that there is time for everything as stated in Ecclesiastes chapter 3 and this should prepare one's mind to understand that there are times one will be accepted by others and periods when one will be deserted. This is necessary for balance.

You are feeling rejected because as humans we depend on collective togetherness rather than being in isolation, hence we feel that our well-being is not complete until we get accepted by that person or groups of individuals we want to be with.

Think about the feel-good periods; when you are accepted by those you want to be close to. This feeling is the opposite of what you feel when you are rejected by those you feel should be close to you. Rejection can make you sad and bitter, as it is hard to swallow.

Rejection hurts irrespective of which aspect the rejection is coming from, being it from loved ones such as family members, those whom we seek romantic love, colleagues in school, work, or places of worship. It could be rejection as a result of not being accepted into a desired place of work, educational institution, e.t.c.

Then what should you do to overcome this rejection?

Ask yourself questions to understand the reasons for the rejection.

One thing with life is we often fail to look at personal issues with positive minds and we seek to claim we cannot do any wrong, but this may not be true. Truthfully ask yourself, what is wrong? Be sincere with the answers. Were you are fault somewhere or, did you fail to meet the expectation of others, thus you got being rejected by them. The answers will guide you on the next steps to take.

Make amendments where possible.

Now that you have the answers to how and why you have been rejected, you need to make corrections either by readjusting your behavior and attitude. If you have been rejected by your desired new place of work or education institution, get to become better and reapply again to better places. If you are being rejected by someone you seek to have a romantic affair with, move on to seek love somewhere else.

Accept the rejection

In number one above, the need to ask questions will make you quickly accept the outcome without being dramatic and emotional. Therefore, worrying about rejection will further hurt you, thus it is better to not make the feelings of being rejected to get a toll on you.

Make a move

Being rejected is not the end of the world, therefore you have to move on with your life. The world has more than 7 billion people and if a few are out there rejecting you, be rest assured that there are hundreds, if not thousands that are seeking to accept you. Find these people and life will be easier for you.

Take time out with loved ones

Staying alone during rejection often leads to an emotional breakdown, this is why it is necessary to stay in the company of those who care for you. These good loved ones truly know what you are going through and can truly help you feel good to erase the rejection by going for a picnic, movies, lunch, and breakfast.

Speak to someone

What you are currently going through is not new and there are people close to you who may have witnessed such too. These are people you should reach out to, as they will hear you out. Some of them are God-sent, as they can be inspired to share their experience with you.
