Reverend Daniel Umaru and family of EYN attacked by gunmen in Adamawa

A Pastor with The Church of the Brethren in Nigeria (Hausa: Ekklesiyar Yan'uwa a Nigeria (EYN), alongside his immediate family members, have been attacked by unidentified gunmen in Njairi area of Mubi, in Adamawa State, Nigeria.



This gruesome incident took place late on Wednesday night 6th July, with the shooting of the Pastor, Reverend Daniel Umaru who is struggling to survive and the killing of two of his sons.



While his 13 year old daughter was taken away and his wife is in coma due to shock, a Hausa Christian Foundation (HACFO) reports.



"Last night, unknown gunmen stormed his residence, killed his two sons and kidnapped his 13 year old daughter. He was shot and left battling life in the hospital. The wife is in coma due to shock,



"The Oh Lord! Please help your children to remain focused in the midst of these challenges. Grant healing to your son and bring his wife out of coma. Give calmness to his daughter and rescue her unmolested for the sake of your glory," HACFO declared in a statement.
