In an excerpt of his sermon posted by Church Gist, Oyedepo mentioned that "anything done or said against the Church is against Jesus."

He told the listening congregation that no Church is better than any other Church, thus he doesn't say negative things regarding any denomination.

"I have told you by teaching and by example, you have never heard me speak against a Church in your life so where did you get it from? You say our Church is better than yours, which Church is your own. Jesus bought the Church with His blood. Caution."

While it is common for some Christians to condemn the doctrines of other denomination, he cautioned that, "you may not agree against the doctrine of a church but anything you do against the Church of Christ in secret or in open you pay."

Bishop Oyedepo further advised Christians not to be dragged into deadly talks that are against any Church of Christ, stating that such could be against the move of God.

He said, "Beware! I have seen disciples from other Churches coming to me and telling me what their leader said and I just despise and throw it away. I know where I am going...

"Some leaders of ministries gathered at a time and were planning how to disrupt this Church, none of them today has any place of meaning in ministry. Don’t gather against the move of God, it is a risk. Don’t work against it. Don’t de-evangelize people from one church to your church."
